Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and CatchCities ("we", "us") for use of the CatchCities game and website at catchcities.com. By using CatchCities, you agree to them.
1. What CatchCities is
CatchCities is a location-based exploration game. You walk to real places and catch them on foot. The core game is free; an optional Pro subscription unlocks extra features.
CatchCities happens in the real world. Stay aware of your surroundings at all times. Don't play while driving, cycling or operating machinery. Obey all traffic signals and laws. Don't trespass, enter dangerous or restricted areas, or go anywhere you don't have the right to be, just to make a catch. Respect other people, private property, wildlife and local rules. You explore entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and for supervising any minors in your care.
3. Your account
You can explore without an account. If you sign in (via email code or Google), keep your access secure and give accurate information. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to create one.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't cheat, spoof your location, script, scrape or otherwise game catches, first-finder claims or leaderboards. A first-finder claim is awarded only after a signed-in, GPS-verified catch and may be removed if evidence shows abuse or an incorrect place location.
- Don't upload unlawful, infringing, hateful or harmful content, or anything that isn't yours to share.
- Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the service.
- Don't use CatchCities for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
Photos and other content you add remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and display them to you (and, where you choose to share, to the people you share with) as part of running the service. You're responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it.
6. Pro subscription, billing & refunds
- Pro costs €9.99 per month and renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from the app; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops renewing.
- Changed your mind? Email us within 14 days of a charge for a full refund.
- Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
7. Availability
We work to keep CatchCities available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is". Place data, availability and features can change, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Disclaimers & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from your real-world exploration (see Safety above). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, aim to notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law & contact
